Privacy statement

Who we are

Dreams Baby Spa, based in Bergen op Zoom and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 62267396, is responsible for processing your personal data via this website, the chat, WhatsApp, phone and email. Questions about your data? Email info@dreamsbabyspa.nl.

What data we process

  • Booking form: the package, date and time, number of people, your baby's age, your name, email address, phone number and your message.
  • Chat: what you type in the chat on our website.
  • WhatsApp and phone: your phone number, for WhatsApp also your profile name, and what you send or tell us.
  • Email: your email address and what you write to us.
  • Payment: if we send you a payment link for your appointment, we only see whether and when it was paid, not your bank details.
  • Technical data: when you submit the booking form, your IP address is stored with your request to prevent abuse and spam.

A request via the website reaches us in a secure system and by email. You receive a confirmation by email.

Purpose and legal basis

  • Answering your question and scheduling your appointment — because you ask us to, and to enter into an agreement with you.
  • Carrying out and settling the appointment — to perform the agreement with you. We ask for your baby's age to tailor the treatment properly and safely.
  • Keeping the website safe from spam and abuse — based on our legitimate interest.
  • Google Analytics and the Meta pixel — only if you give consent.
  • Our administration, such as invoices — because the law requires it.

We do not sell your data or share it with others for their own advertising.

How long we keep data

We keep your data no longer than necessary. A request that does not lead to an appointment is kept as long as needed to handle your question. If you visit us, we keep your data as long as needed for your appointments. Data we must keep for the tax authorities, such as invoices, is kept as long as the law requires (7 years).

Who sees your data

Your data is intended for us only. This website, the bookings and our email run at a hosting provider with servers within the European Union; it processes the data only on our behalf and may not use it for anything else. The connection to this website is encrypted (https).

  • Chat: the chat answers automatically. For this, the text of your question is processed by an external automated text-processing service (AI), which may be located outside the European Union. Please do not share sensitive information in the chat; to book, use the booking form instead.
  • Payment: online payments are handled by Mollie; Mollie's terms and privacy policy also apply.
  • Gift vouchers: you buy a gift voucher through Gifty's service, which is loaded on this website. Gifty processes your order and payment; Gifty's terms and privacy policy also apply.
  • Map: the contact page shows a Google Maps map. It is loaded directly by Google; Google receives your IP address and may place its own cookies.
  • WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram: if you contact us via WhatsApp or visit our Facebook and Instagram pages, the terms and privacy policies of WhatsApp and Meta also apply.
  • Google and Meta: Google's terms apply to Google Analytics and Google Maps, Meta's terms to the Meta pixel.

Cookies and statistics

  • Functional cookies: a few cookies and browser settings are needed for the website to work properly, for example to remember your cookie choice and your language (NL/EN) and to keep the chat conversation during your visit. No consent is needed for these.
  • Counting visitors: we count page views without cookies. We store no IP address and no browser data, only a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.
  • Google Analytics: only if you click Accept in the cookie notice do we use Google Analytics to measure how visitors use the website (for example which pages are viewed and whether people get in touch). Your IP address is shortened. The statistics are kept for 14 months.
  • Meta pixel: the Meta pixel (Facebook/Instagram), which shows us how our ads perform, is also only loaded if you click Accept.
  • If you click Decline, we place no statistics or advertising cookies and remove previously placed Google and Meta cookies; the website works as normal.
  • Your choice is stored for 180 days in the cookie site_consent. You can change it at any time via «Cookie settings» at the bottom of every page, or right here.

Your rights

You can always ask us which data we hold about you (access), have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to the use of your data, ask us to restrict its use or to take your data with you. If you have given consent for something, you can withdraw it at any time.

Send your request to info@dreamsbabyspa.nl. We respond within one month. To make sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to identify yourself.

Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know first, and we will look for a solution together. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority ( Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
